I totally agree-Valentine's day is so commercialized and I hat the feeling that you have to do something extra to show your sweetheart that you love them. HELLO?! They should already know that. We did celebrate with the boys, though-they loved all the heart shaped food we had!

If we all had money and very high metabolisms, I think then Valentine's Day would be more fun. I am glad I am not the only one who is kind of "scrooge-ish" about V-day.

Well bah-luv-bugs! (get it instead of bah-humbugs! I love valentines day. I love to focus on my kids and give them a little something each. but mainly I love another reason to go on a date with my hon! Come on guys give it a chance for next year you don't have to be mushy, just celebrate the love of your life! You'll both be glad you did and if nothing else, you might get a pretty chain necklace like I got this year! Oh, I still love you, even if you don't "love" valentines day! You do need a vacation as badly as I do! Check out my new business! If you ever get to travel or know someone who does, pass my travel site address along to them. I'll email you about it later. I am sooooo excited about being a travel agent with my own online travel store like expedia, only better! (I am one sided!)

You know, I used to LOVE Valentine's Day. And I loved getting the kids' class valentines ready. But for Hubs? Bleh...

Not that I don't totally love him or something, but for hell's sakes, I want him to do stuff like this all during the year, not just on some mandatory love day! That's when I decided that Valentine's Day is for singles and children. Marrieds should have random acts of valentine all during the year!

That said, I got the most fabulous Valentine's gifts, EVER yesterday!

Hub never does squat for V-day so I am always bah humbug about it. This year we were both so sick...we promised to make it up to each other. My birthday is the 27th of this month so hub has promised me a night out on the 29th (a Friday) for both my bday and vday. :-) We shall see!
