This week has just been nuts! Can you believe it's the middle of October already?? I am so not ready for the holidays.
So, this week, Clinton turned 17. Yay Clinton! He spent his birthday at marching practice, school, then a marching festival. We had bought him a ticket to Weird Al before we knew about the festival. Because of it, he didn't get to go to the concert. He was not happy. So, I had him ditch school on Wednesday and we spent the day together. We went to breakfast, then a movie. It was nice to spend a little time with him. I feel like I never see him anymore.
Thursday night was his big fundraiser concert. Outback Steakhouse donates all the food and labor, so all the money from the ticket sales goes directly to the kids. We sold enough tickets to pay for his California trip this year and part of his trip next year. Yay! Clinton was able to perform his tenor solo and it was very impressive. He wrote it himself and received a score of excellent a few weeks ago at a percussion festival. It was so great to have everyone there to hear him play!
Here's a picture from the concert...
